LITTLE LIBRARY – BIG SOUND

Seeing a movie at your library used to mean squeezing around a small TV screen with scratchy sound to watch a well-worn VHS tape. But at the Gray Public Library, we do things a little differently. Thanks to the vision of the Gray Public Library Trustees, the Gray Public Library Association, and the in-kind donations of AV Systems of Maine, we are pleased to provide a truly engrossing audio/visual experience. Our 4K projector displays crystal clear images on our 100-inch screen, while our 11-surround speakers and 2 subwoofers immerse you in the action. So if you are a fan of current blockbusters, remastered classics, or movies for families, come on down. All showings are free and open to the public and tasty snacks are provided.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS

Are you a visual artist, or just someone who has a knack with the camera or paintbrush? Then the Gray Public Library wants to show your work!

Located next to our front Circulation Desk is the New Boston Art Gallery, a space dedicated to showing the work of local artists. Since its inception, we’ve had community members display photographs, paintings, and even fabric designs. Shows are displayed for approximately 6 weeks and the only condition is that it must be appropriate for all ages. Apart from that, the potential for the space is as limitless as your imagination.

For more details about booking a show, please contact Josh at jtiffany@gray.lib.me.us. To see the art display policy, please click here.
